cavahoos	Am going crazy deciding between two different boats for my first. Number 1 is a 1986 Chaparral 198XL with a #year old 205hp stern drive. The owner will take $7000. Boat number 2 is a 1992 Caravell C1750 with the original OMC 135hp stern drive. The surveyor I hired says both are in good condition(overall) with the Chaparrals newer motor being in very good condition and the Caravelles in good condition. The boat will be used on the Rappahannock river for fishing and skiing. Any advice would be helpful.	2001-07-14
page62	You didn't give us a price on the Caravelle. These are very different boats! V8 vs. 4-cyl.; 19 feet vs. 17.5', 1986 vs 1992. Rebuilt vs. original. And I assume both are pretty nice boats. You may have to go with your gut feeling on this one. After all, whichever boat makes you feel best is the one to buy!	2001-07-16
