Should i buy it or not

screenbuzz Is this a good deal? the guy wants 300.00 to get the boat out of his driveway. I figure with a little fix up I could get three to four times that for it. or would I have way more than that in the boat after all is said and done? is this boat worth salvaging to resale? http://humankind.com/products/boat.html 2002-03-31
alcan Hello screenbuzz
In my area just the price of a used trailer would eat up any thought of a profit. Tell him if he gives you the motor for parts and $10. for gas, you will dispose of the rest of his garbage. I find it a real chalenge to repair a trailer and make it road worthy for much less than $300. in parts. This dosen't count labor.

J.B. Cornwell Ahoy, Buzz.

If you are handy and like to work on stuff it looks like a good buy at $300.

Either the engine or the trailer, cleaned up and in good operating condition should be worth more than $300.

Your gamble is that it can be returned to usefulness with only some labor and very little bux. I would take that gamble, but I am a wrench, have plenty of tools and time and I like messing with stuff others have written off.

If you aren't like that,or don't want to learn how, pass.

Good luck.

suzukidave That's a definite buy if you are handy and would actually want a boat that size and motor when done. It would have to be a labour of love though. Buying a little old used boat like that and fixing it up just to try to turn a dollar is like getting up at 4:30am, driving to your favourite lake, launching and heading off for 30 minutes to your secret fishing hole just so you can sell the fish you catch later outside the supermarket. 2002-04-01
12Footer He stated "NO TITLE".. If you spent the time and money to get her seaworthy, you can't. It don't make sense. But that motor running is worth the money.
If I had a setup which was simular, I'd buy it for motor parts, and give the hull/trailer to somebody.
